The Mac App Store will have hooks into Snow Leopard beyond just installing and removing software, reports observe. If a person attempts to open an unsupported file in build 10J537 of the forthcoming Mac OS X 10.6.6 update, a new warning prompt offers the option of searching the App Store for a compatible program. The prompt appears to borrow from one in Windows, which for some time has offered the choice of searching the web for a solution.
