Microsoft may open six new stores next year, an unnamed source said, according to a Wednesday rumor. This would nearly double the currently operating seven stores, which are placed near Apple stores and showcase the software giant's latest programs and hardware as well as PCs from third-party makers. What is being described as a historically accurate source for ZDNet claims just some of the new locations may include Houston, Orlando and New York City.
