UK newspaper The Guardian will soon withdraw its current iPhone app in favor of one based on subscriptions, according to an announcement. For residents of the UK, the future app will cost £3 for six months, and £4 for a full year. In the US the app will be free, ditching a present $4 pricetag at the expense of advertising.
