Some users of the new iOS 4.2.1 firmware are having problems with music playback, Apple's support forums indicate. Affected people note that opening up the iPod app on an iPhone may show no content whatsoever, even though the files are actually on the device. A temporary fix is relatively simple; after using iTunes to play a song stored on the iPhone, resyncing and opening up the iPod app again should force mobile libraries to update.
