LG and Microsoft have something in common: both have spent the past year working to catch up in smartphones after Apple and Google eroded much of their market share. The Optimus 7, then, could be a culmination of both their efforts: it's part of a campaign to prove that one can make a well-designed phone and the other a well-designed mobile OS.
