AT&T today became one of the last major US carriers to get a mobile hotspot but countered with a continent first. Its version of the Novatel MiFi 2372 is the first in North America to use the MiFi OS and supports apps and web browser widgets to handle tasks that don't need locally stored software. The pocketable router can reach up to 7.2Mbps on AT&T's network.
