Apple has announced the appointment of Ronald D. Sugar to the company's board of directors. Sugar was most recently the CEO and chairman of the board at military/aerospace contractor Northrop Grumman; he is still a director at several other businesses, including Amgen, Chevron and Air Lease Corporation. As a member of Apple's board, Sugar will be responsible for chairing the Audit and Finance Committee.
