Adobe has launched a public beta of Audition for Mac, which was originally announced in June of this year. The release is based on Adobe's Windows software of the same name, and handles professional-level audio production. It supports multi-core processing and 5.1-channel surround sound; various tools control aspects like panning, noise reduction and "healing" audio.
