Apple ad spending surges by 38% in 2010

Apple's 10-K filing with the SEC reveals a significant jump in ad spending for the company's 2010 fiscal year. While 2009 ad spending reached $501 million, Apple boosted its 2010 spending by 38 percent to reach $691 million. Although a boost in ad expenditures is expected, the company only added a total of $34 million from 2007 to 2009.
