Apple has issued an official explanation for the absence of Flash on the 2010 MacBook Air, which was launched on Wednesday. "We're happy to continue to support Flash on the Mac, and the best way for users to always have the most up to date and secure version is to download it directly from Adobe," says Apple spokesman Bill Evans. He adds that all future Macs will go without Flash pre-installed, although some models currently in production should still carry it.
