iPad production is on a path to hit about 3 million units per month during the current quarter, says Kaufman analyst Shaw Wu. Citing supply chain checks, Wu moreover claims that production could continue escalating into the first half of 2011, although only if needed. "We believe this [production ramp] allows AAPL to produce a high number of iPads to satisfy new partners and end-user demand," he writes in an investor memo.
