Apple is planning to start mass production of a CDMA-compliant iPhone by the end of the year, according to a new report. Citing people briefed by Apple, the Wall Street Journal reports that the timing of the production ramp-up would allow Verizon Wireless to offer the phone in the first quarter of 2011.
