Apple has agreed to settle in a lawsuit brought against it by Sharing Sound. The latter firm accused Apple of violating US Patent 6,247,130, Distribution of musical products by a website vendor over the Internet. Since the concept lies at the very core of the iTunes Store, Apple may have little alternative but to settle if it wants to avoid an expensive trial.
