Among the announcements at Apple's September 1st iPod event, technology analysts iSuppli believe the really big news was the introduction of Airplay, Apple's revamped version of AirTunes (that can now also push video to devices like Apple TV). The company thinks it could become a "top 10 consumer electronics product," thanks to Apple's licensing of the technology to BridgeCo Inc, who in turn works with third-party audio companies like Denon, Marantz, JBL and Bowers & Wilkins along with Mac peripheral makers to all quickly implement Airplay into upcoming products.
