iOS development: More lucrative than expected

Open-First recently conducted a survey of 110 App Store developers to examine how much they've been earning vs. their initial expectations. Nearly half of respondents -- 48% -- revealed that they're earning more than the expected. The study was conducted between August 30th and September 10th, 2010 via online questionnaire, followed-up by phone. In the end, 78% of respondents rated themselves as satisfied, very satisfied, or somewhat satisfied with the experience of publishing to the App Store, and 99% said they'd continue to do so.
