RIM today unveiled the PlayBook, its first shot at the tablet space. The PlayBook has a seven-inch display and is just 9.7mm thick. It's designed as a high-powered browsing device with both a WebKit browser and Flash 10.1 support. The slate is billed as a media-heavy device with full 1080p video output over HDMI -- including entirely different media sources -- and has HD-capable cameras on both the front and back.
