AMD's Radeon HD 6700 series has had virtually all of its details leak today through a forum post at Chinese site Chiphell. The new series, now pitched as mid-range, is due to have "twice the horsepower" of the 5700 series it replaces. Clock speeds and memory bandwidth should go higher and give much larger texture fill rates as well as more than a 60 percent boost to the brute computing strength: a Radeon HD 6770 would produce about 2.3 teraflops, or more than the older but higher-end Radeon HD 5850's 2 teraflops.
