Microsoft today began inviting media outlets to an October 11 press conference in London that should unveil Windows Phone 7. The very long 2PM GMT (9AM Eastern) to 5:30PM keynote confirms a long suspected date and should reveal the first production devices on the new mobile platform. Europe is likely to be the initial focus, though it may mention a suspected November 8 US release.
