Netflix chief Reed Hastings in an apology for remarks about American self-absorption hinted that the company might extend its Canadian streaming-only plans to the US. He wouldn't give details but said Netflix had been contemplating a rollout "over the coming months." In Canada, the no-disc service costs $8, or about $7.74 US, versus the $9 minimum for the one-DVD plan in the US.
