Pentax showed off its new K-r DSLR at a press event in New York City, where Electronista had a chance to take a few pictures with the pre-release cameras. As expected, the K-r represents a step forward from the company's K-x camera. Both DSLRs still occupy a niche somewhere between most entry-level and midrange offerings.
