A new iPhone accessory for scanning credit cards has been released by PhoneTrasact. The Credit Card Reader features a one-piece design compatible with the iPhone 3G/3GS, along with the second- or third-generation iPod touch. The device supports bidirectional card reading that meets ANSI/ISO standards, while the accompanying software, iMerchant Pro ($1), can be used with most merchant accounts. Until August 20, customers can order a Credit Card Reader for a special introductory price of $100, after which the price will rise to $130.
