Gertrudis Graphics has launched a new photo conversion title, GMX-PhotoPainter. The software takes a photo -- though it can work with other base imagery such as scans, paintings or drawings -- and converts the image into watercolors, oil paintings, crayon creations, or pen and ink drawings. The software runs a topological analysis of the image and generates flow-direction vectors, creating an easily-adjusted piece of artwork that will respond to paint and drawing strokes.
