AKVIS has unveiled a major upgrade to its photo restoration and retouching utility, AKVIS Retoucher 4.0 The program is designed to remove unwanted scratches, stains, and other defects that appear on damaged photos, as well as reconstruct missing parts of the photo by utilizing data from the surrounding areas. Main new features found in v4.0 include a new algorithm, and the added ability to now remove large objects from a photo such as people, cars, and buildings.
