AT&T may be optimistic about its hopes for Windows Phone 7 with a large batch of orders, Altimeter analyst Michael Gartenberg learned Thursday. A reliable source explained that the carrier has ordered eight million devices. It's not clear whether this is over the total lifespan of the devices or only for a certain period.
