DVDxDV Pro 3.0 adds improved timeline

DVDxDV has launched an update to its DVD ripping software, DVDxDV Pro 3.0. Pro rips unencrypted DVDs into QuickTime video files, in this case with iMovie and Final Cut in mind. The aim is to allow editing or re-editing home movies which have been burned to DVD. It can also be used to switch between PAL and NTSC formats, and export to 1080i for high-end editing tools. Timecodes, subtitles and 24-bit audio can be extracted, and the software can perform 3:2 pulldown conversion. Alternately Pro can convert DVDs to MP4 files for use on iPhones, iPods, iPads or Apple TVs.
