Motorola launched an attack on Apple today with a full-page ad (see below) for the Droid X. The New York Times spot notes the new Droid is designed with a strong signal in mind and, unlike Apple's current mix of hardware and software in the iPhone 4, isn't overly sensitive to hand placement. The spot also makes possible digs at the location-based element of Apple's problem, which has it drop calls and lose data in fringe areas.
