AT&T today turned off the option for unlimited data on 3G iPads two weeks later than promised but hoped to calm down nervous owners by explaining that it would come back. The company acknowledged that it was no longer an option today but said it would return in the menu for all iPads bought before June 7. "Details will follow," the carrier said.
