Verizon has locked down a ship date for the Motorola Droid X that could pit it against the iPhone 4, multiple sources claimed today. Retail staff for the carrier have reportedly been told to prepare for an early opening on July 19 to launch at least one of Motorola's new, high-profile Android phones. The launch is important enough that Verizon wants all staff on hand, and custom store graphics and shirts will have to be in place on launch day.
