Sony today added two new Alpha cameras for newcomers. The A290 and A390 together now have the 14.2-megapixel, in-body stabilized CCD sensor of the outgoing A380. Compared to their ancestors, they also have a simpler top control layout and a redesigned grip that should be more comfortable to hold.
