Apple today said it had officially sold over 1 million iPads as of Friday. The figure came just 28 days after the tablet first went on sale and was twice as fast as for the original iPhone, which took 74 days to reach the same milestone. Company chief Steve Jobs also said that "demand continues to exceed supply" and the company was working to expand production.
