The NHL says it has released its first official app for the iPad, Ice Time Playoffs Edition. Like most major sports apps, Ice Time provides a collection of live content, including radio, scores and statistics. Video is limited to highlight clips however, whether after every period or every game, the latter including condensed 12-minute versions of matches. An archive contains highlights from the entire ongoing season.
