Panic has officially launched Transmit 4, a long-awaited upgrade to the company's FTP software, which last saw a major update in 2005. The program in fact handles file transfer and sync via several protocols, including FTP, WebDAV and Amazon S3. Its interface can been completely revised, streamlined while gaining new features such as a path bar and a Places pop-up window. Similarly, a component called Transmit Disk allows servers to be opened as Finder volumes.
