The Taiwanese government will assign the same 700MHz frequency band for the LTE 4G wireless as its American counterparts, according to sources in the industry, a report claimed on Monday. The island's National Communications Commission has reportedly blocked off frequencies between 698MHz and 806MHz for the advanced cellular access. The sources for DigiTimes said these spectrums are currently being used by military and police organizations and require about three years to shift elsewhere.
