Apple CEO Steve Jobs is indirectly responsible for some upcoming changes to California law, a report claims. The executive took a six-month leave of absence in 2009, during which he received a liver transplant believed to have saved his life. Because of this, says Silicon Alley Insider, the California state Senate on the verge of passing a bill to create a live donor registry for kidney transplants, while also making it mandatory to ask people renewing drivers' licenses whether they want to be organ donors.
