Apple today used the Apple Store to commit to shipping the 3G-capable iPad on May 7th. The timing is a delay past the original late April target but reflects the ongoing supply constraints for the regular tablet, which is still listed as shipping within five to seven business days. Initial shipment times may have been affected by pre-orders, which allowed ordering 3G models from mid-March.
