Intel executives told those at the Developer Forum today not to maintain expectations for the tablet category. Architecture lead David Perlmutter said that the category was "hard to predict" and that Intel would mostly be there to support those that wanted to make tablets over time. Intel Labs chief Justin Rattner echoed the sentiment asnd labeled the iPad and other designs a "third epoch" that still faced uncertain prospects, even if it was more practical.
