OWC and diglloyd have launched a new custom upgrade option for MacBook Pros, the MPG Pro Laptop. The alteration significantly improves the storage of a Pro, boosting RAM to 8GB, and more critically swapping in two new hard drives. Possible combinations include twin 100 or 200GB SSDs -- said to be four times faster than regular HDDs -- or a mix of one SSD and one 7200rpm 500GB HDD. A third option involves using two 500GB disks in a mirrored RAID configuration.
