Analysts have slashed their estimates of Amazon Kindle shipments following the arrival of the iPad, BusinessWeek reports. Needham analyst Charlie Wolf has a cut a prediction of 3.6 million Kindles for 2010 down to between 2.5 and 3 million units, making for only a slight increase over the 2.2 million thought to have been sold in 2009. "It's not a compelling product," says Wolf, suggesting that the iPad has more attractive features despite a higher cost.
