Freeridecoding has launched SmartBackup 3.0 for the Mac, updating the utility with a new interface. In addition to creating conventional backups, the software can create bootable clones of a system. Files can be transferred to any mountable volume, including external hard disks, iPods and network destinations. Spotlight support lets users search through archives, and backup presets cover Mail, iCal, Safari and other common data sources.
