HTC chief Peter Chou this weekend told the media that much of his company's recent smartphone success comes from the US. He wouldn't provide a percentage but said American shipments were growing "faster than others." As many as six million HTC phones shipped to the US in 2009, many of which were phones like the T-Mobile myTouch 3G (HTC Magic) as well as Verizon's Droid Eris.
