Toshiba on Friday said it was in the early stages of preparing for 25 nanometer (nm) chips. The technique will allow smaller, denser NAND flash memory and other components than allowed by the 32nm technology of today. The electronics giant told Nikkei BP it expected mass production at 25nm to start relatively quickly in 2010 and for even smaller designs by 2012.
