Whether it wants to or not, Apple should sell out of all the iPads it has produced for launch weekend, says Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster. Apple is believed to have at least 200,000 to 300,000 iPads en route to stores and customers, likely more, and for some time new pre-order delivery dates have moved to April 12th or later. Demand is tight enough that even the extra produced for store stock is likely to vanish by the end of Sunday, Munster suggests.
