The CompactFlash Association (CFA) announced the availability of the recently approved CompactFlash version 5.0 specifications. Among new features:
48 bit Addressing (Capacity points beyond current limitation of 137 GB (up to 144 PB) & more efficient data transfer (32 MB per transfer versus 128 KB per transfer))
Data Set Management Command/Trim
Update ATA References to ATA-6 & ATA-8/ACS-2

Identify Device CFA Specification Version Number
Changed Interface Electrical Specification to Better Comply with the ATA Standard
