According to afterdawn, CBS might be preparing a new price list for its TV shows available on the iTunes Store. Instead of 1.99 USD, it could cost only 0.99 USD, in other words the same price than a music track. If CBS confirms this strategy, it would force competitors to follow or to align their prices. It could also demonstrate how expensive online music tracks are on the iTunes Store, despite what Majors can think. It would also be interesting to see if with such aggressive prices, CBS might create a new distribution channel for its TV shows and/or series. Such price tag could really push customers away from P2P network and piracy of such cultural programs, as repression and all king of DRM never really managed to prevent file sharing
