Apple has made 40 people from its Final Cut development team jobless, claims a former worker with the group, Pete Warden. The cuts are said to have happened a little over a week ago, and without any obvious explanation. Warden points out that Apple has been been enjoying high profits; this may mean that any cost-cutting efforts would have to revolve purely around maximizing returns and efficiency.
