According to first evaluations, Google might have sold about 20,000 units of its Nexus One during the first week of availability in USA. This is definitely way below the iPhone or any high-tech models from Nokia or SE. Of course, google did not promote its Nexus One as Apple did for the iPhone and customers had to buy it without having the opportunity ti try it.This is probably the reason why Google and its partner T-Mobile decided to decrease the price of this device in USA, from 379 USD to 279 USD. Earlier purchaser got also 100 USD back. It reminds us the price difference between both original iPhone models
