O2 admits AT&T-like London iPhone network problems
So, AT&T is offering the iPhone up for sale once again in New York and New Jersey, following a brief (confusing) hiatus this season - today Apple’s UK carrier, O2, admitted it too has experienced problems maintaining network coverage, this time in the capital of this sceptred isle, London.
Speaking to the Financial Times, O2 chief executive Ronan Dunne explained that the data-hungry iPhone had overwhelmed its network in London during the last six months, but promised the carrier has now fixed the problem.
Apparently, some customers have been intermittently unable to make or receive calls or transmit data - a fact that London-based 9to5Mac sources can verify from their experience.
