iFixit publish Mac, iPod, iPhone repair manuals under Creative Commons licenses
Ever hit a problem with an out-of-warranty Mac? Got the experience to “have a go” at repairing the beast? Good news then from iFixIt, who have released a suite of DIY repair manuals for all kinds of Apple products.
Even more interesting, the company has published these manuals under Creative Commons licenses, meaning they’ll remain freely available forever, and granting you the permission to reuse, adapt and improve on the publications as they exist.
