According to the newspaper Times, O2 should lose its exclusive partnership for the iPhone in UK on November 10th. Orange, which recently merged its UK mobile network with T-Mobile, will then offer the iPhone too on the same date. Overall, Apple is working on ending its exclusive partnership as already announced during the investigation conducted in France by the anti-monopoly Council. If such exclusive partnership could be useful when launching a new product and new associated services (unlimited internet and Visual Voice Mail), the environment has evolved and such strategy is not necessary anymore. In other words, all carriers are willing to team up with Apple to get the iPhone in their catalog.
