Dane-Elec will release on December 11th a new line of external HDs sporting the USB 3.0 interface.
3.5" models will offer storage space ranging from 500 GB to 2 TB.
2.5" models will offer storage space up to 640 GB for plater-based HD and up to 160 GB for SSD-based drive.
As the USB 3.0 could accommodate it, Dane-Elec will install Intel X25-M SSD of 80 or 160 GB, offering up to 250 MB/S in reading mode. So, we simply now have to expect that the future iMac and Mac mini, most likely Mac hardware models to be updated in a very near future, will already feature USB 3.0.
